ACCOUNTING SERVICES
HOW Chartered CAN HELP
Chartered’s accounting and assurance team provides a full range of services, including financial statement preparation, compilations, reviews, audits, and agreed-upon procedures (AUP) engagements.
We undergo the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) peer review process and meet the applicable requirements for participation in the Governmental Audit Quality Center (GAQC) and Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center (EBPAQC).
In a compilation engagement, we use financial information provided by management to present financial statements in accordance with the applicable financial reporting framework. A compilation provides no assurance.
In a financial statement review, we primarily perform inquiries and analytical procedures to obtain limited assurance that no material modifications are needed for the financial statements to conform with the applicable reporting framework. A review is substantially less in scope than an audit and does not include all procedures ordinarily performed in an audit.
A financial statement audit begins with planning and an understanding of the organization, its industry, and relevant internal controls. We then perform audit procedures and express an opinion on whether the financial statements are presented fairly, in all material respects, in accordance with the applicable reporting framework.
In an agreed-upon procedures (AUP) engagement, we perform procedures specified by the client or designated third parties on particular financial information or management assertions and report the factual findings.
